In 2018, the journey began for Born Again Apparel. Jared & Amanda, the founders, were blessed with their third...and surprise...fourth child. With the addition of twin boys, Theo and Luke, Amanda felt a stirring begin in her. A stirring that she knew her creative husband could help bring to life.
Amanda & Jared now had four children to provide for: Elizabeth, Adam, Theo, and Luke. Amanda's idea was a pondering around her children's wardrobe: Could we clothe our kiddos in something other than unicorns, teddy bears, sports teams, & super heroes? Could we clothe our kiddos in cool designs that were instead Christ-focused, on our real Hero? Jared, ever the dreamer and doer, loved this pondering, and he put these dreams into reality. They began creating Biblically-based shirts with graphical representations from scripture, with verse references often embedded discreetly within the prints. It became a fun and unique way to display the Word.
Their first design remains their most popular: The Lion of Judah. Taken from Revelation 5:5, "Weep no more. Behold, the Lion of Judah has conquered." They made this powerful shirt available in adult as well as children sizes. It also remains a favorite of their three boys.
After that, their daughter, Elizabeth, voiced her idea for a shirt. Not a unicorn or a lion for her shirt idea, but a koala bear. Although koalas are absent from any scripture they read (aside from some form of small bear likely being on Noah's ark), they willingly honored their sweet girl's request. Dad created a unique print and brought in Proverbs 15:13 "a happy heart makes a cheerful face" with a smiling koala to tie it all together.
Within a year of starting this missional business, Jared's heart and vision for Born Again grew. Oddly enough, this revelation took place within his children's chaotic school cafeteria where hundreds of children talked, whispered, yelled, and ate. Surrounding him were children were wearing super hero shirts, sports team shirts, Nike shirts, Paw Patrol shirts, Adidas shirts, Thomas the Train shirts, and more. God dropped on him then the opportunity for their children, and any children wearing Christian-based shirts, to be missional in their everyday walk. With this business, hundreds, maybe thousands of children could have eyes on God-breathed messages within our schools, playgrounds, sports activities, after school clubs, etc. Jesus referenced seeds of faith throughout the gospels, be it a mustard seed or seeds that fall on different types of soil. What if these shirts could be seeds, planted in children's lives? Seeds that can grow to move mountains; seeds that fall on good, rich soil and bloom into beautiful messengers of the Word. What if wearing a t-shirt could be leading souls to the Savior? With that, Jared & Amanda worked together, developing and designing more shirts to appeal to more families, to reach more children, to plant more seeds for His kingdom. #wearyourfaith
Hi! We are so thankful you are visiting Born Again Apparel Co.! We would love to connect with you in furthering our missional business for His kingdom. There is strong research showing an overwhelming proportion of people who dedicate their lives to Jesus and come into a relationship with the Lord, do so at a young age. Amanda and I want to be part of that, and not just in the west where kids are free to wear whatever they want but also in foreign lands where Christianity is stifled and abhorred. At Born Again Apparel, we are dedicated to doing what we can near and far to bring the message of Jesus to those in America as well as those in areas with no access to the Light. Please visit our Partners tab to learn more on this important part of our mission.
Thank you for reading our Story. Thank you for supporting this business as a mission and wearing your faith. And, most importantly, thank you for coming alongside us in spreading the Word of the Lord.

and do not return there but water the earth,
making it bring forth and sprout,
giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater,
so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth;
it shall not return to me empty,
but it shall accomplish that which I purpose,
and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it.
